The Denver Office of Economic Development (OED) operates to create a local environment that stimulates balanced growth through job creation, business assistance, housing options and neighborhood redevelopment through its four divisions.

The Division of Business Development (DBD) is a business resource agency that offers a variety of programs and services to assist new and expanding businesses located within the City and County of Denver. DBD offers regulatory assistance, relocation and expansion services, economic and demographic data, Enterprise Tax-Zone Credit assistance, and international trade assistance for businesses located in Denver or looking to do business in Denver.

The Colorado Office of International Trade was established with the goal of promoting the export of Colorado goods and services and attracting foreign investment that will create jobs for Coloradans.

By promoting Colorado exports and attracting foreign investment, the ITO helps to build Colorado's identity as an international business center, encouraging foreign buyers to look to Colorado for products and services. The ITO is open to the public and most services are rendered at no cost.

They offer regional specialization, with an overseas office in Guadalajara, Mexico and honorary trade offices in Japan, Jordan, Germany, and Switzerland. COEDIT also has a contractual arrangement with the US Department of Commerce for services in Canada and Peru.

The Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation (Metro Denver EDC), an affiliate of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, is the nation’s first and only truly regional economic development entity in which many area economic development groups have joined together to represent, and further, the interests of an entire region. Their partners include 70 cities, counties, and economic development organizations in the seven-county Metro Denver and two-county Northern Colorado region. The Metro EDC works to create a competitive environment that attracts companies and jobs is backed by the region's business community, with primary funding coming from private-sector investors, as well as participating cities and counties.
