Traveling to and from the Metro Denver region
The City and County of Denver has worked to develop regional cooperation around transit oriented development, making Denver a great place to live and work. Denver has one of the country’s largest multi-model transportation projects in development, giving residents and visitors light rail transit options along with quality highway routes. Our international airport is the 10th busiest in the nation, and is continuing to grow and add new domestic and international flights regularly. We are also planning a major redevelopment of our train station, Denver Union Station, bringing mixed use development and more travelers directly into downtown Denver through light rail, bus and train. Plus we have an amazing system of bike and walking paths throughout the region, making alternative transportation easy and safe.
