South Asia
Denver Community Overview
Denver's South Asian communities are some of the newest communities to establish in the Metro Denver region. Coming from Cambodia, Laos, Thai, India, and Nepal many of these families came as refugees escaping war torn homelands.
Although many of Metro Region’s early South Asian immigrants have since assimilated into the general culture there continues to be neighborhoods and noteworthy establishments throughout the city that reflect their rich traditions through markets, churches, restaurants, local businesses and art galleries and the newer residents are adding even more rich traditions to our community.
Visit each of the Country pages to find out more about specific community resources, restaurants, religious services and more.
Denver is a sister city with Chennai, India.
