About Us
Global Denver is an initiative started by Denver City Councilman Doug Linkhart in cooperation with the Denver Office of Economic Development (OED), the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation (MDEDC), the Denver Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau (DMCVB), Denver’s Certified International Property Specialists, and the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (DHCC)
Our Purpose
The goal of the Global Denver website is to create a central location for information about ethnic and international communities and activities in metro Denver. By creating a website that lists the main resources, activities and events in the metro area, we hope to foster contact and understanding among different communities and improve Denver’s capacity as a global city.
The Global Denver initiative is aimed at recognizing Denver’s diversity and international connections and capitalizing on these assets to improve our quality of life and economic prosperity. The goals of the Global Denver Project are as follows:
- Inform the public of resources, organizations and events related to other countries or ethnicities in metro Denver through this comprehensive web site
- Profile the region’s business and community connections to the rest of the world and their contribution to the vitality of the metro area
- Establish contacts and develop partnerships with representatives from the international and ethnic communities of Denver
- Improve connections among Denver’s diverse communities, international assets and organizations serving both arenas
- Engage the Denver public interested in global affairs in the international communities of Denver
